In today's class, we learned about government, power, and taxes. Power is the ability to control or influence people's behavior. And who has that power in the modern world? They are the government and authoritative leaders. Here, authority refers to power that society legally recognizes. A leader can give trust to people, and it is a great strength. For example, in 1979, there was an incident in which an organization called 'Hanahoe' that trusted and followed the leader Chun Doo-hwan launched a military revolt in Korea. According to records from the time, the members of the group expressed the opposite position because they were very afraid of a military revolt, but after Chun's conviction and persuasion, Chun and the members of the group took on an important role of the state by believing in him and revolt against him and succeeding in the rebellion.The power of such an authoritative leader is a tremendous thing. It turns a country upside down. As I said before, governments also have special power. Governments provide people with action guidelines with laws and taxes, run governments with governments and run societies. Governments say, "I'll protect you from crimes and accidents. Give me money instead!"

In today's class, we heard that a special leader has tremendous power. Then. How do you gain such tremendous power to follow people? I found it very interesting. I think it takes a lot of speaking ability. In any organization, did the members of the organization follow the leader from the beginning? No, I think they would have persuaded people with words about what the leader was trying to achieve. If you are not good at speaking, it is not easy to persuade people. Next is leadership. It is the strength and firmness of being able to lead without abandoning members.

In this article, I wrote about the power of the government. As a state agency, the government can control the work of the state and the people. So, what I want to discuss in this article is 'If the government has strong power, what is the direction for the people?' Let's think about it. Does the government come out positively in dramas and movies that are aired these days? Most of them come out negative. For example, like scenes in which people with high positions in government act for their own interests and survival without thinking about the people. I think that such negative aspects often appear in the media reflect the reality. Since the government is an organization that works for the country and the people, even if its interests are reduced, the government should work for the country and the people in accordance with its original purpose. Like Article 1, Paragraph 2 of the Constitution of the Republic of Korea, the power of the state comes from the people.
