1.summary
In today's class, we taught on the subject of scientific methods based on sociology. For me, this topic came very difficult. I learned the contents of the processes and methods until establishing a specific theory (difficult!!). However, it was easy to understand thanks to the professor's excellent teaching method and teaching ability. As you said in the lecture, the hypothesis was the key point when establishing a theory. I think you're right. We act not only when doing experiments, but also from the hypothesis of thinking, 'Wouldn't it be like this?' We had time to think while listening to various hypotheses as examples.
2.interesting
What was interesting in today's class was that research takes place over very systematic steps. Observe, measure, experiment, formulate, test, and eventually establish or correct a hypothesis. If any of these steps were omitted, it would not be a perfect study, which seemed like a surgery (if even one step went wrong, it would be fatal to the patient).
3.discussion
Today's topic of discussion is, in my opinion, 'How can we conduct ethical research?' In the modern information society, we can get information very quickly. This is a very beneficial fact for us, but on the contrary, it also causes ethical and fatal disadvantages. Since copyright is violated and the Internet is mainly anonymous, problems arise like 'Your research is poor' and 'I won't know if I copy this'. Therefore, in order to solve these problems, we must establish media laws at the government level to prevent the above-mentioned problems and conduct research while respecting the human rights of researchers.
